DREAM: September 5, 2008: I asked my wise, beloved spiritual teacher (whose specific identity I did not know) how I was to deal more calmly, confidently, effectively and harmoniously with the slew of upsets in the world: in politics, with natural disasters, and in the global financial crisis. I had been having trouble staying centered and steady in the midst of all the craziness that was around me, not to mention in dealing with my own moments of seeming insanity. My teacher guided me to visualize royal blue light along my entire spinal cord. I was able to see this clearly, and I immediately felt less irritable, more stable and better grounded. Then my teacher advised me to have more faith that I, when I be lifted up, will lift all others unto me.
INTERPRETATION: This is a communion with one of my spiritual teachers on the higher, invisible planes; I know and trust him/her implicitly in the dream, although I do not know his/her individual identity. This being is one of the Christ forces of love and light, who is aligned with the Christ Self in me. All light workers have such guides, teachers and guardians, whether they consciously are known or not. Everyone can ask his/her guides for support, guidance and clarity. Ask and you shall perceive.
The color royal blue radiates the power of faith that expresses primarily via the cerebrum of the brain. Lemon yellow light reflects the power of strength-stability-steadfastness that manifests mostly in and through the spinal cord and nerves. So why does my teacher instruct me to see royal blue, rather than lemon yellow, light in my spine?
One interpretation is that I am to have greater faith in my power of strength-stability-steadfastness. If we don't fully believe that we are strong and steady, then we cannot be stable. If by false faith we believe we are a "nervous Nellie," then we become just such a person, no matter how much we try to shore up our strength. If we faithfully believe that we have the strength of the Christ, however, then in time that is what we demonstrate. Perceive it, believe it, program it, and pass it along the spinal cord and nerves.
Faith and strength work together as one whole coin or one complete nervous sytem. Faith is positive, masculine, active; strength is negative, feminine, passive. What happens in our cerebrum reverberates in our spinal cord and nerves; the stability and steadiness of our nerves gets communicated back to our brain.
By focusing on royal blue light in my spine, the dream indicates that the seed or core of my difficulties in being strong, steady and stable rests in my faith faculty. I am to have renewed faith until it is rock solid. Then I will not be as prone to waver and vacillate in my spine and nerves when doubts, dilemmas and disturbances develop, within me or around me. In other words, I am to keep the faith. To keep it means to adhere steadfastly to it, hence the strength-stability power. I am also to keep it simple, to be as a little child whose faith in his Father-Mother-Parent is pure and persistent.
Our spinal cord is a two-way communications channel or conduit for energy to descend from the cerebrum to the rest of the body, and to ascend from the other organs up the spine to the cerebrum. In our spiritual growth, we climb up our spine as we rise up in consciousness. This takes faith at every step of the way. At each step or station along the spine, Spirit reaches down His-Her hand and lifts us up to the next plateau, just as my teacher did in this dream. By our ascent, we plow a pathway that all others can follow, especially those who are members of our tribe.
At a physical level, royal blue carries a soothing, calming vibration. Medical studies have shown that blue light, when shone on someone's body, tends to lower that person's blood pressure and heart and respiratory rates. Seeing blue light in my spine felt like it lowered the inflammation and irritation of my spine and nerves. I chilled out, so to speak. I felt more centered and at peace.
All light workers and healers in these difficult things would be wise to keep the faith, and to keep things simple and sweet, steady and stable (kiss, kiss). All leaders and individuals in every walk of life all around the world likewise would do well to have faith in God-the-Good.
Finally, this dream shows that we are not to follow any rigid formula or system in visualizing the twelve colors that are associated with the twelve powers and body systems. Rather, one must be guided from within, in meditations, dreams, inner knowings and visions. With color therapy, as with all life, it always is best to live from above to below, from within to without. In the next week or so, I will write more about all aspects of color healing on my new blog, titled "12 Cosmic Colors." Check it out: http://healinghaven.typepad.com/12_cosmic_colors/.
