A couple days ago, the inspiration came to look up the date for Ascension Day, on which Christian churches celebrate Christ Jesus' ascension in his light body. This year the date is Thursday, May 25th. This is because Ascension Day is designated as occurring on the 40th day of Easter, or 39 days after Easter Sunday that this year was celebrated on April 16th. This is because according to the accounts in the Gospels, Jesus demonstrated in his resurrected body for 40 days, starting at Easter, and then he ascended.
So, this Thursday, May 25th, let us give thanks unto Spirit and unto Sananda-Jesus for his ascension, even as we continue to look forward to and prepare for his redescent in his light body to lead us into the Golden Age of peace and love.
As a first step in our celebration, let's concentrate on what Jesus said: "I, when I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me." In part, this refers to his resurrection, but it also applies to his ascension. He of himself could neither resurrect or ascend, but Spirit could lift him up at each new step. And so, as we seek a new level and demonstration of rising into peace and love, harmony and balance, we turn our personal will over to Spirit's will. Not my will, but Thy will be done. With You, all things are possible.
Father-Mother God, thank You for lifting me up in the time and way that you deem best not only for me but for all others whom I serve and represent and draw unto Christ Jesus and the Christ Self in me. Having ascended into divine peace and love, I shall redescend and be love in action in all that I think, feel and do. So be it.
